What I did
In this project, within a team of 5 (Designers, Lead, PM & AVP), I spearheaded the UX discovery and research phase, laying the foundation for a user- centric design approach. My primary responsibility was to gather and analyze onshore and offshore user feedback, ensuring we addressed key needs, including creating a warm, welcoming, and visually appealing experience. I also guided junior and associate designers throughout this process, helping them understand user insights and incorporating those findings into our design decisions.
A key contribution was crafting the design system from scratch, ensuring AAA compliance and aligning with user preferences for a warm, welcoming, and visually appealing experience. This system provided a solid foundation for a consistent and accessible design.
I also collaborated with the design team on wireframes and visual design under the guidance of the lead designer and AVPs, creating high-fidelity designs that balanced usability with aesthetics.
Through a combination of leadership, design expertise, and collaborative teamwork, my efforts were pivotal in shaping a functional, accessible, and engaging portal experience for users.

The redesign resulted in a more intuitive, inclusive, and visually cohesive intranet experience - supported by a scalable design system now used across multiple internal apps. Employees can navigate, discover, and engage with the platform more effortlessly, leading to a noticeably improved user experience.
